ABOUT CRYSTAL CLEAR ACCOUNTING

Accounting is anything but crystal clear for many people, but our goal is to help make it crystal clear.  Non-Profit accounting, especially fund accounting, is unique and most of us learn while on the job. So I understand that a big part of my partnership with clients is educating, training, and thus we should have some fun too!

I really like accounting, and it took me several years to admit that, even after taking my first accounting course.  Jump forward, a lot of years.  I received my Master’s in Accountancy from UMKC (University of Missouri-Kansas City, passed the CPA exam in 2008 and spent three years in public accounting at RSM.  While at RSM I was Auditor on the Government, Non-Profit, and Banking teams.  From there, I worked at Greater Horizon’s/Greater Kansas City Community Foundation for over seven years.  I provided back-office accounting services for Community Foundations of all sizes across the US.  Eventually, I managed the onboarding of our clients, that included process changes, database implementation, and training.  In the Fall of 2017, I was hired at Foundant Technologies to help onboard and support clients implementing CommunitySuite.  While at Foundant, I had the pleasure of being part of a team that implemented over 400 Community Foundation’s across the US and Canada.  I managed a team of accounting professionals that trained and problem-solved with our clients.  I started Crystal Clear Accounting to use my career experience and accounting expertise to partner with amazing organizations and support their accounting needs.

When I am not in the office, I am teaching an accounting course at Montana State University and exploring everything Bozeman and the surrounding areas have to offer.
